The Stillaguamish Valley
Genealogical Society and Library was founded by Marietta
Roth in 1985. We incorporated a year later and obtained non-profit
status with the IRS and the State of Washington. Our library
has grown to include thousands of rare and interesting books,
microfilm and microfiche sets, a CD collection, and internet
access. We have gathered historical information pertaining to
the northern part of Snohomish County and the Stillaguamish Valley,
and its native populations and early settlers. The collection
also contains material for all U.S. states and many foreign countries.
This information is available to members and visitors during
regular library hours.

Our Mission
To promote an interest in genealogy through education; to instruct
members in genealogical research and preservation of their own
family histories; to locate, preserve and index public and private
genealogical records and make them available to members and the
general public; to support other genealogical libraries throughout
Washington; and to publish local genealogical and historical
information in our bi-monthly newsletter.
